Ethical Guidelines for Proceedings Publication

The publication of scholarly papers in this Proceedings constitutes an important contribution to the advancement, dissemination, and continuous development of academic knowledge. The proceedings publication process reflects the scholarly quality, integrity, and accountability of the authors and institutions involved in academic research and knowledge dissemination.

All papers submitted for inclusion in the proceedings are expected to comply with established principles of academic integrity, transparency, originality, and responsible scholarly conduct. The review and editorial processes are undertaken to ensure the quality, relevance, originality, and academic rigor of the papers selected for publication. Accordingly, all parties involved in the proceedings publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, the publisher, and other relevant stakeholders—are expected to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional responsibility.

The Faculty of Literature, Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara (UISU) takes its responsibility for maintaining the integrity and quality of the proceedings seriously. The Faculty is committed to ensuring that ethical standards are observed throughout all stages of the publication process, from manuscript submission and review to editing, publication, and post-publication management.

Editorial and publication decisions are made independently and are based on the academic quality, originality, relevance, and scholarly contribution of the submitted papers. Advertising, sponsorship, reprints, funding, or other commercial considerations shall not influence editorial decisions or the review process.

The Editorial Board is also committed to maintaining constructive communication and, where necessary, cooperating with authors, reviewers, academic institutions, conference organizers, publishers, and other relevant organizations in addressing matters related to publication ethics and potential publication malpractice.

Through these principles, the Proceedings seeks to ensure that all published papers meet appropriate standards of academic integrity, contribute meaningfully to scholarly discourse, and support the responsible dissemination of research findings and academic knowledge.
