About the Journal

The Proceedings of Annual Language, Literature, and Culture International Conference (ALICIO) is an academic publication platform dedicated to disseminating original research and scholarly contributions in the fields of language, literature, and cultural studies. Organized by the Faculty of Literature, Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara (UISU), Medan, Indonesia, ALICIO aims to facilitate international academic exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and critical engagement with contemporary issues in linguistic diversity, literary expression, cultural identity, and social inclusion.

Scope & Coverage: Language studies, English language teaching, literary studies, and cultural studies—including linguistic justice, multilingualism, language & power, marginalized voices, postcolonial literature, ethics, social justice, indigenous knowledge, cultural representation, and cultural sustainability.

Guided by the theme “Voices Unheard: Inclusive Languages, Literature, and Cultural Narratives,” the conference proceedings seek to provide a scholarly forum for researchers, academics, educators, and practitioners to share research findings and contribute to the development of inclusive, innovative, and globally relevant perspectives.

Through the publication of conference papers, ALICIO is committed to supporting knowledge dissemination, strengthening scholarly networks, and advancing research in language, literature, and culture.
