Abstract

This study discusses the use and application of behaviorism theory to female students in learning Arabic with a psychopragmatic perspective. Specifically, behaviorism theory with a psychopragmatic perspective that emphasizes the stimulus and response between lecturers and female students in learning Muhadatsah in the classroom involves the use of speech, psychological influence, communication, interaction and active participation in the Arabic language environment. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of behaviorism theory carried out by lecturers in the form of speech acts in learning Arabic conversation to female students and describe the psychopragmatic approach in representing behaviorism in the form of speech stimuli with active responses from female students in the form of speech that has a psychological dimension. This study follows a qualitative research methodology with a phenomenological paradigm. The data in this study are in the form of utterances spoken by lecturers and female students. Data collection was carried out through participant observation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation and use of Arabic speech continuously to female students shows that the application of behaviorism theory in the form of speech stimuli can be represented and has the value of active speech responses spoken by female students in learning Arabic Muhadatsah.
